Q: My dog is matted, I was told that my dog has to be shaved. Why?
A: Matting is a delicate thing, it all depends on the severity of the matting. If the matting is very close to the skin it will be too painful to remove. Let's put it this way, Its inhumane! It not only takes more time, it can be expensive. We have to carefuly stretch the skin, try to loosen the hair little by little to be able to pass the clippers thru without clipping the dog or cat. We recommend that you not let it get to that point by grooming your pet on a regular basis.

A: Again, this is something that we can relate to. Poor dental care will cause gum and bone loss and teeth will fall out. Bad breath is the starting point and of course plaque and tatar build up will occur. Poor dental care leads to cavities, chronic oral infections or stomatitis, periodontal disease may cause bacteria and toxins to enter the bloodstream with potentially deleterious effects on internal organs.
